The National Coalition for Haitian Rights (NCHR) is committed to protecting your privacy. We only gather personal information from you if you provide it voluntarily, and we use it only to send you communications you have requested. We maintain the privacy of your information using security technologies and adhere to policies that prevent unauthorized use of your personal information.

Online Payments and Donations

Your financial contribution is essential to our ability to fulfill our mission. Information provided to make a donation or payment with a credit card is used only for that particular transaction. We will not store that information and will take industry-standard security measures to protect your data.

Email Addresses

Our Web site does not automatically recognize your e-mail address. We collect the e-mail addresses of those who communicate with us by e-mail, and we ask for your e-mail address on our online advocacy action pages and our donation pages.

If you communicate with us by e-mail, we will not subscribe you to our e-mail lists. However, if you take any advocacy action, register for an online event or give a donation, you will be subscribed unless you uncheck the appropriate box. If you do not want to receive periodic e-mail updates, uncheck the box following the sections where you have given us your e-mail address.

You may also e-mail or write to us, or follow the instructions at the bottom of any e-mail update you receive.

We use e-mail links to allow you to contact us directly with questions or comments. This information is used to respond directly to your questions or comments, or to improve our site and program. We may file the e-mails you send to follow up with you about your comments.

Personal Information

You are not required to provide any personal information on our Web site unless you choose to do so.

We ask for personal information on our online donation pages, and use this information to acknowledge receipt of your donation for tax purposes. In addition, your name and other information will be placed on our mailing list. If you do not want your personal information to go on our mailing list, uncheck the box at the end of the section.

If you wish to make a donation in honor of or in memory of someone, we will not use the information you give us about that individual for any other purposes.

We do not, for any reason, sell, give or otherwise transfer, your e-mail address to any third party for any reason.

Opt Out

NCHR's site gives you the opportunity to opt out of receiving additional information from us. If you do not want to receive additional information, please uncheck the boxes at the point at which we request that information.
